The Vermillion Bird is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations known as Zhū Què in Chinese, Suzaku in Japanese, Jujak in Korean and Chu Tước in Vietnamese. Not to be confused with the Phoenix, the Vermillion Bird represents the southern cardinal point as well as the summer season.
