a
tale
of
star-crossed
lovers
and
celestial
celebrations!
The
Qixi
Festival,
also
known
as
the
Double
Seventh
Festival,
is
a
traditional
Chinese
holiday
with
a
romantic
twist.
It's
based
on
an
ancient
legend
about
a
mortal
cowherd,
Niulang,
and
a
fairy
weaver
girl,
Zhinu,
who
fell
madly
in
love
but
were
cruelly
separated
by
the
gods.
Their
heartache
moved
magpies
to
form
a
bridge
across
the
Milky
Way,
reuniting
the
couple
on
the
seventh
day
of
the
seventh
lunar
month.
Today,
Qixi
is
celebrated
as
Chinese
Valentine's
Day,
with
couples
exchanging
gifts,
gazing
at
the
starry
sky,
and
participating
in
traditions
like
needle-threading
and
weaving
competitions.
It's
a
magical
time
when
love
transcends
even
the
cosmos!
